Googlers in Australia
More than 1,500 people work at Google in Australia today. And while we are all different, coming from diverse backgrounds and bringing unique experiences, we share the same mission and core values.
As a long-time Googler of over 11 years, Kia has worked across many different parts of Google. Most recently, she has been working to help Australians affected by crises, including the recent bushfire season and COVID-19. She works with emergency services partners to surface their authoritative information across Google products so that people can make informed decisions to keep themselves and others safe.
Rebecca works to bring Grow with Google digital skills training to individuals, businesses and non-profits around Australia. In the current climate, this often means making sure businesses have access to free, online training that will help them adjust to changing circumstances. Born and raised in Sydney, Rebecca is passionate about helping Aussies access the skills they need to thrive in a digital world. After spending some time working with Google in London, she's happy to be back home and working on something she's so passionate about.
Suan leads Google's education efforts for Australia and New Zealand. He is part of a global Education Focus Area that works to support the next generation of users through Google's products, programs, and community engagement. A long-time Googler across 6 offices, Sydney is now home for the past 11 years. When he's not busy helping educators innovate with Google Workspace and Chromebooks, he's a lifelong learner himself.
Trent is a digital strategist working to ensure that businesses of all sizes can benefit from the full potential of Google every day. He works directly with businesses to help them connect with customers on Google Search, Maps and more. His favourite part of the job is presenting at Grow with Google events online and around the country, where he gets to meet small, local businesses and help them reach new customers online.
Alice works in our Sydney office as a software engineer, and is focused on creating accessibility features for Google Chrome. A long-time Googler of over 13 years, Alice has worked on many of Google's most widely-used products, but her passion for making sure everyone can enjoy the web makes her current role a career highlight. Her favourite part is seeing first hand how her work can improve lives.
