How a small town fire department brings care to a community hit hard by the pandemic
With help from Google
Sarah Burgin is a paramedic and engineer for Buck Creek Township Fire Department, a rural area east of Indianapolis with about 8,500 residents.
When the pandemic struck in April, it hit the small community hard, and did not spare Buck Creek’s emergency medical responders.
Given rapidly changing safety protocols, Buck Creek Township Fire Department uses Google Slides to actively update their team on Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
“When people need help and need answers, we are there to help them find direction in their crisis.”
- Sarah Burgin
As the community copes with the pandemic today, the humanity offered by Sarah and her team provides a continued sense of hope and resilience.
Thank you Buck Creek Township Fire Department for responding with care.
